I am not a writer and I am certainly not a cook. Inspired by the movie Julie and Julia, I thought, "Hey, I can create something everyday and see what happens". Like Julie Powell, I am looking to get something out of this experience - not a book or a movie (can you say family mortification?), but more as a healing process for the past few years since my husband died. I am still not where I'd like to be and hope to see what the making of art everyday will do for me and people I know. I may not make art each and every day, but I'm used to cramming and will conjure up missed creations when I slack off. The important thing is I will try.
So, here it is. Day One.
